Orion Support Tools
Beyond the training resources that XYIS provides our advisors with, Orion also offers some training tools to get your firm more familiar with the platform.
Ascent 
Ascent is a training app in Orion that offers videos and documents to train you on what you'll need to know in order to use Orion. You'll be able to go through different subjects, or "Trailheads" (i.e. billing, reporting, trading, etc.). We recommend going through all the Trailheads and checkpoint training videos during your onboarding process. The time investment can be beneficial for those who are wanting to have a more in-depth understand over their database or if you have new users onboarding to your firm.
There are two different ways to sign up for Ascent training:
- login to Orion Connect and go to the Ascent app. A sign up mechanism exists when you hover over the app.
- OR go directly to the the website via the following link: www.orionadvisor.com/ascent-sign-up/
Here's a sample of what you'll see, including some of the training topics you'll see upon logging into Ascent:
Assist Me 
Assist Me is a great tool embedded in the Orion Connect dashboard, and can be found in the upper right hand corner of the screen. It can be recognized as a blue "A".
Assist Me has a list of topics that you can select to learn more about a wide variety of topics. These topics range anywhere from Orion's monthly product release to application specific tasks. This tool will even walk you through some processes step by step.
It is important to note that this support tool is not comprehensive and does not offer workflows for e every possible situation that can occur within your database. We encourage you to try this support tool out and figure out if this will work for your firm's situation.
