Householding App

The Householding app allows you to move accounts from one household into another. Typically this is needed to combine spouses or family members into a single household.

Orion is able to auto-household new accounts based on the SSN at the Registration level. When a new account is sent to Orion on the morning Name Files from the custodian the system will search for a matching SSN at the registration level. If found, the account will be assigned to the same household. If the SSN is not found, a new household will be created and you will need to merge them together if needed.

Moving accounts in the Householding app is super easy. Search for the households in the two search bars and simply click on the green Action button above the account you would like to move - Move Registration. If you are moving all of the accounts you can select the Purple Action button and click Move All Registrations. You can even move documents like custodial reports and Orion generated reports that have been uploaded to the households by clicking the Move Documents option in the Purple Action menu. Once you've moved all of the accounts and documents you can also delete the empty shell household.

All changes take place immediately and you don't need to click any Save buttons. There will be an audit of the changes that have been made on the right sidebar.
