Part 1: Adding Accounts in ByAll AccountView


Prior to creating the ByAll Shell account in Orion you will need to link the account in ByAll's AccountView.

First, you must create the account using the login credentials:


1. Go to the Accounts tab


2. Click Create Accounts


3. Select Create Accounts with Credentials

  • Select the desired institution making sure the Login Link matches the URL that you or your client uses to access the site.
  • Check the box next to the institution and click Next in the lower right corner.

  • Enter the credentials used to access the institution. If there are any required security questions, add them here as well.
  • Click Save and Verify.
  • Once the credentials test successfully, click Save and then choose and Create Financial Accounts. If the credentials fail, make sure the site can be accessed using the credentials provided and that the URL matches the selected institution.

  • If account discovery is supported for the site, ByAll then pulls in all accounts associated with the login into AccountView. If account discovery is not supported, manually add the account(s) by clicking Add an Account.

  • When manually entering an account, you must fill in provided fields.
  • Please Note: Every institution requires different fields and the description of each is dependent on each custodian. Hover your mouse over the field, and instructions appear on how to populate the field. The Descriptive Name field can be whatever you want and does not need to match what is listed at the custodian, but it is important that the Account Number/Plan Name/Number matches exactly with what is listed at the custodian.

  • Once you enter all required information, click Save Financial Accounts, then and Aggregate in the lower right corner.
  • Byall then pulls in the account data. View the aggregation status in the upper right-hand corner, as indicated in the screenshot below.

Part 2: Linking Accounts in Orion


Once the accounts are added in ByAll's AccountView you can link the account in Orion so it can be reconciled.

1. Go to the Orion Queries app and run Query ID 9364: ByAllAccounts - Ready to be linked to Orion.

  1. Create a shell account using the New Account Wizard in the Account Center App. In the Account tab within the New Account Wizard enter in the ByAll Account ID field. Any value can be used in the Account Number field but it must be unique within Orion.

Orion receives and reconciles ByAll data twice a day at 6am and 9am CST. If the account is created prior to the 9 am CST cut off it will be brought in same day. If not, it will be brought in the following morning. The account will be removed from the ByAll Accounts - Ready to be Linked to Orion query once it is properly linked.

If you do not see the account being reconciled within 2 business days of it being linked to Orion please open an Orion Support ticket with the Orion Recon team.
