Fidelity Instructions

Please Note: Follow the steps within this article to establish a new Fidelity connection to Orion. This setup process supports Fidelity IWS Brokerage (G-Numbers) and Fidelity Affiliate (403b, 401k, FILI, FPRS) accounts.

New Fidelity Feeds

Review the instructions below if any of the following scenarios apply to your firm.


Scenario Action Items

We are new to Fidelity and have no pre-existing Fidelity feeds.


OR


We have new G-Numbers and wish to map each to specific representatives.

  • Follow the steps below to establish a new feed in Orion and await further instructions.
    • If establishing a new Fidelity Affiliate feed, indicate so within the Service Request Details below.
  • Orion supplies you with your individual header row for each G-Number, if applicable.
We have an existing Fidelity feed and do not map new accounts to specific representatives.
  • A new feed is not required. Simply submit a new Outbound Transmission Rule (OTR) on Integration Xchange to link your G-Number(s) to your existing header row.
    • If you do not know your header row, you may request this via a Support case to Orion.


Provide the following information for Orion

      • G-Numbers: List all G-numbers for which you need new data feeds
      • Three Account Numbers: [enter three account numbers for each G-Number]
      • Do you already have affiliate data (FILI, 403(b), 401(k), charitable gifts, and annuities) flowing to your database? 
      • Will you have any affiliate data contained within your news feeds? 
        • If YES, please provide three sample accounts.
      • Do you want RMD Data to flow through this feed? 

Once the Service Request has been processed, stand by for further instructions.




Interface Notes

  • Requests not completed within 60 days are subject to cancellation. Custodial delays and other special circumstances may allow for more time as necessary.
  • Fidelity Retail accounts are not included in direct feeds.
  • 529 and AMP accounts are eligible to feed through G-numbers.
  • The affiliate feed can only deliver participant-level data. Plan-level data cannot be sent in the feed.
    • Affiliate data is comprised of accounts such as FILI, 403(b), 401(k), charitable gifts, and annuities.
  • Approximate time to complete: 7-10 business days from when Orion receives all applicable information
