Benchmark Assignments

Assigning benchmarks to the various portfolio levels is done in the Benchmark Assignments tool within the app. A full list of available indices is available within the Queries app in Query ID 7056 Available Index Data.

Please Note: If you need to make numerous benchmark assignments at once, we recommend using the custom import tool to do so. Read more about how that process works in our How to Update Benchmark Assignments En Masse knowledge article. Follow the guidance below if your firm only has a handful to update or assign.

1. Level Selection - Determine which entity level the benchmark needs to be assigned to for reporting purposes with this dropdown menu.

2. Enter Search & Selection - Once the level is determined, search for and select the individual entity at that level.

3. Entity Assignment Edits - If you need to make an adjustment to an assignment, click the name of the entity in the list to open the assignment window.

1. Filter Row Option - Use this filter option to quickly navigate through the over 1,300+ index choices Orion offers.

2. Benchmark Selection - Select the appropriate benchmark for the assignment in this window.

3. Toggle Options - This column of buttons is used to move the selected benchmarks between the two selection boxes.

4. Save - Be sure to save your work so that the assignments are made properly!
